Dear Friend,
A year ago, I posted a survey on Linkedin to see if anyone would be interested in helping support survivors in recovery after the brutal fires swept through Los Angeles, CA. I was hoping to appeal to talented counterparts in the entertainment industry and beyond, experiencing unemployment and seeking purpose and impact. Within 3 days I had over 75 volunteers with hands raised.
Today I'm proud to say, that effort, 200 volunteers, and a lot of elbow grease later, has become an official 501c3. We are still helping wildfire survivors get back on their feet and there's no end in sight, which means our job is far from done.
Like the copilot of an aircraft shares the workload, monitors the instruments, and ensures safe arrival, The CoPilot Project connects survivors with dedicated Personal Recovery Assistants who provide what case management can't: a helping hand to actually get the work done.
There is no gift too small when it comes to supporting this effort. Your tax-deductible donation goes directly towards the welfare of survivors. Recovery is a winding road, we don't let our friends walk it alone.
