Personal Recovery Assistance
When disaster strikes, there is A LOT of ground to cover and survivors are expected to navigate it all while dealing with trauma, displacement, and uncertainty.
That's where The CoPilot Project’s Personal Recovery Assistants come in.
A Personal Recovery Assistant (PRA) is your dedicated partner in recovery—a trained volunteer who walks virtually alongside you through the hurdles and confusion you might be facing. Think of them as your advocate, your translator, your copilot through the chaos.
Cut through the red tape. We help fill out and complete FEMA applications, tax reassessment forms, and understand what all those government acronyms actually mean.
Find what you need. Whether it's emergency housing, mental health resources, or financial assistance programs, we’ll research your options and connect you with the right support.
Take the weight off your shoulders. We’ll track deadlines, help do the grunt work, and keep all documents organized in one centralized place.
Show up consistently. Recovery isn't a sprint—it's a marathon. We are committed for the long haul, not just the first few weeks. Meetings are 1 hr in length and scheduled at the individual survivor’s pace, though we recommend a weekly cadence.
Most importantly, your PRA believes in something fundamental: no one has to navigate alone.
A PRA can help you with…
